We currently deliver Healthwatch Staffordshire, Healthwatch Walsall, Healthwatch Solihull and Healthwatch Wolverhampton – the independent consumer champions for health and social care services. Our job is to champion for the consumer interests of those using health and social care services across these areas and give local people an opportunity to speak out about their concerns and health care priorities.
Take advantage of our shared services portfolio and offer innovative, added value services to your local provider networks. We all work in an extremely complicated and challenging environment. As Healthwatch deliverers ourselves, we understand how difficult it is just to keep on top of the day job, let alone add value and innovate. Over the last two years at Healthwatch Staffordshire, we’ve built up a team of expert social researchers and invested heavily in the latest technology platforms to support our community engagement activities. It’s making a real difference and is increasing the impact of our work with both providers and commissioners – we’d like to share that with you.
Build your own online public feedback centre for your clients which holds information on all health and social care providers in your area. Members of the public can easily post their reviews online, share their experiences and rate the services they received. The familiar review-style format is very user-friendly, and specifically designed to make it as simple as possible for patients to leave relevant feedback and share their views. All content on the site is moderated and provides valuable, open and transparent information exchange between providers and their public.
Web & Social Media Monitoring Service
Help your providers and commissioners keep on top of their online reputation with our state-of-the-art social media monitoring service. Generate an interactive dashboard of all online conversation relevant to an organisation. This doesn’t just include the Who, What, When, Where and How, but also even the level of influence of the messenger and the degree of positive or negative sentiment associated with the message. Produce in depth qualitative reports and provide advice for strategic improvement of the service user experience. Use the evidence to inform your Enter and View programme, shape your priorities and widen your influence at Quality Surveillance Groups and other fora.
Complaints & Advocacy Services
We work with people who need support to speak up and have their voices heard. With our team of experienced advocates, we listen, support and empower people to get their voices heard, obtain positive outcomes and help shape health and social care services. We offer high-quality advocacy services and are able to tailor our approach to meet local requirements, including helping to support other local Healthwatch in setting up their own advocacy services. We have invested in all of our staff who now all hold the professional qualification for advocacy. Our complaint service incorporates a diverse training offer for complaint teams and service providers, the ability to commission peer review complaints panels and establish complaints focus groups.
In-depth Analysis of Existing Data Sets
Broaden your service offer by accessing our professional research team. Often large public sector organisations collect an enormous amount of data but lack the time or capacity to fully analyse and triangulate the information. We have considerable experience in conducting in depth, deep dive studies of existing organisational data sets and the professional researchers in our Evidence and Insight team can provide you with well-presented, insightful analysis, triangulation and interpretation of data.
Build the capacity of your organisation to maximise the impact of your social research and community engagement activities. Our accredited training programmes are delivered either by inhouse experts or a professional and experienced network of specialist partners. Whether you need to add value to your Enter and View activity, update you research techniques or improve the effectiveness of your volunteer management plans, we have training to suit. We also deliver ‘Train the Trainer’ activity across our programmes and have experience in helping support other Healthwatch boards in their development.
Research in Action Primary and Secondary Data Collection
Let us help you to make full use of all data sources. Our comprehensive data collection service can help you to benchmark performance against national standards or identify gaps in knowledge and eliminate duplication. We can also support your primary research activities through our expertise in designing and delivering focus groups, surveys etc. As a company partner of The Market Research Society (MRS) you can rely on our professionalism and expertise.
Draw on our wealth of experience to support your team. We can support you by designing, and where appropriate delivering, your Community Engagement activities. This includes services such as focus groups, surveys, public events and consultations.
